Dr Ubaydur Rahaman Siddiki successfully achieved his PhD with a thesis titled "Understanding Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) using Policy Networks: Implications for Bangladesh." This achievement was accomplished at the Institute for Governance and Policy Analysis at the University of Canberra (UC), situated in Australia.

Before pursuing his doctoral studies, he completed a comprehensive two-year MSc program in Environmental Sciences, specializing in Environmental Policy, at Wageningen University (WUR) in The Netherlands. This program encompassed coursework, a thesis, and an internship, providing him with a solid foundation in the field.

His academic journey also includes the attainment of an MSc (Thesis) in Physical Geography from the esteemed Department of Geography and Environment at Jahangirnagar University (JU) in Bangladesh. It was at JU that he first embarked on his educational voyage, obtaining his initial degree, a BSc Honours, in the same discipline.

Upon completing his MSc degree from JU, he transitioned seamlessly into an academic role, joining the faculty in 2005 within the same department. His dedication and contributions have led him to ascend to the position of Professor, which he has held since January 2022 (https://juniv.edu/teachers/ursgeo).

Dr Siddiki has enriched his academic journey with valuable experiences. He participated in and successfully completed a European workshop held in Fosen, Norway, focusing on Environmental Sciences and Management. This experience further broadened his knowledge and perspective in the field.

In addition to his academic pursuits, he has engaged in meaningful research activities. Notably, he gained research experience at the Bangladesh Environmental Management Project (BEMP), which was conducted under the auspices of Bearing Point, based in Toronto, Canada.
